Hi there, Long time lurker in the sub, first time poster So I’m the process of buying a certified preowned and I’m really undecided between these three cars: Toyota Matrix, Corolla and Yaris hatchback. I’m looking for a car with the following features: -Manual, I get bored driving automatic -Good cargo space for hiking and camping Do a voltage test on the alternator and battery. Your alternator's magnesium brushes wear down over time eventually needing replacement. Change the oil and put on a quality oil filter if it'll make you feel better. To even greater effect, add some BG109 before the oil change and it will help c City cars (107 etc) - designed to work primarily in the city, occasional motorway use only. Superminis (fiesta etc) - smaller cars designed to be better all rounders while still being affordable to run. Ok for semi regular motorway trips but not optimal. C segment (golf etc) - designed to be jack of all trades. Yaris probably more reliable. Mazda2 way nicer in every way except cargo room (handling, interior comfort, interior quality). Both very reliable and good vehicles, there’s no bad choice here. The absolute penny pincher choice is the Yaris but if you can spend a little more I think the Mazda2 is far more enjoyable. The 2009 Toyota Yaris's #3 ranking is based on its score within the 2009 Subcompact Cars category. Currently the Toyota Yaris has a score of 8.4 out of 10, which is based on our evaluation of 72 pieces of research and data elements using various sources. # Wi4rI. The Yaris is great. It's peppy as hell! 1st gear in that thing is like a rocket. THe YAris will zoom to 35mph so, quick it blew my mind. zoominess drops off as you go up in gears and it's pretty anemic at highway speeds but for a city car you'll be zipping & zooming all over the place. Seat are very comfy. The same goes if you compare a Aygo to a Yaris, a 1.0 Yaris is about the same on insurance as the Aygo. 1.3 Yaris slightly more, but shouldn't be a significant figure. It sounds like you're looking at these tiny city cars for insurance, but wouldn't mind something larger. 5’9” but own a 2 door 2016 since new but usually drive alone. [deleted] • 2 yr. ago. 168cm/5'4'' with a 5 door xp9. i fit in pretty comfortably. space has only really been an issue when we were 5 people in the car so the back seats got a little crowded but they could cope. however only one of those people was 5'11'', the rest more around Something that has sufficient cargo space and good MPG. I’ve looked at Fiat 500 and Mini Coopers, but I hear both of them are very unreliable and expensive to maintain. Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris come to mind as the smallest cars with decent cargo space and better gas efficiency, but I know some of you may also recommend a Prius or a Civic or Toyota Yaris Hatchback. 5.0 average Rating out of 3 reviews.
